The reimagining of the cat Alice encounters as some kind of mystical Fu Dog, a guardian of sacred knowledge. “The Looking Glass Cat” is my idea of a Lewis Carroll inspired guardian of the imagination.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?
This piece is an experiment in highly refined mixed media madness. Inspired by Through The Looking Glass, this work pushes the limits in more ways than one. The creative use of materials and unique imagery are directly inspired by the prompt. The idea was to reimagine the cat Alice converses with and to consider the thought of her possibly meeting the cat in the first chapter as some kind of guardian of the looking glass. This work is highly imaginative and was an absolute pleasure to create.
