Imposter Syndrome
Acrylic on canvas. First and title piece in a series called Imposter Syndrome. I thought this piece would work with the Through the Looking Glass theme because of how Alice struggles with her own identity and the different ways we use to test and determine our own identity. Are we really who we say we are? Are we really who people think we are? How do other peoples perceptions of us form our identity?

What is the inspiration behind your piece?
This piece and series was inspired by a conversation I had over dinner with a friend about the Imposter Syndrome. I was intrigued that this highly successful professional had thoughts of not being good enough or smart enough.
