Statement

My art is inspired by the environment around me (specifically nature/landscapes/floral themes that always seem to end up in my pieces) and especially by the people in my life. My contemporary figurative works are almost always sparked by the energy of a particular person, historical or religious figure. I love it when I meet someone, and it can even be just in passing, and their energy just has a certain color and depth to it, so much so that I can just see the beginnings of a painting in my mind's eye.
